About Me

I graduated with a First Class Mathematics degree and immediately went to work in the IT industry. From Aerospace engineering to software houses, onto corporate IT consultancy with Accenture.

Managing large scale system implementations in leading utility companies, and government projects. I was also the recognised UK expert in Configuration Management (that's version control on a large complex scale to you and me!)

With a career break to be a full time Mum, I then supported my family with a 7 year stint as ex-pats in Bangalore, India and then Manila, Philippines. As a trailing spouse, I wasn't allowed a work visa, so I volunteered on the board of local charities as Treasurer, finance co-ordinator and grant committee member.

On my return to the UK, I formed Janice cook Ltd and set to work bringing my extensive experience to good use to small business owners.
